Now Aston Martin vantage gets the power to match its looks!

Despite being stunningly elegant, the V8 Vantage was not the quickest car. Now, Aston has remedied the problem and given the car power to complement its looks. The Vantage RS concept gets a massive V12 engine under its bonnet, developing a 600bhp of maximum power.

Dr. Ulrich Bez, Aston’s chief executive officer, pleased an audience of more than 500 VIP guests at the opening of Aston’s new design studio in Gaydon, UK, with a surprise introduction of the stunning new performance concept car.

Although the RS is based on the V8 Vantage coupe, Aston claims its design and engineering team have fully exploited the design flexibility of the car’s VH architecture. The 6.0-litre V12 engine also derives heavily from the firm’s motor sport development. Aston has also tweaked the bodywork to keep the weight under 1600kg. The concept has much common with its bigger sibling (DBS). The bonnet and boot lid are made from carbon fiber and the brakes are carbon ceramic.
