2008 BMW M3, when reaching the top is the aim

The new iconic BMW M3 comes again with the super 4.0-litre V8 engine. When you come to the look of this car, a group of people may say the old car looks better. In my point of view, I like the new shape (I drove the new BMW 335CI). There are many new internal features with awesome leather seats which let you feel this is the sport car you need to drive. The new M3 which will be on sale on January 2008 made from light weight material; steal, aluminum and carbon fiber roof which cuts unnecessary weight, and lowers the car’s center of gravity. It also lets the roof edge appear flatter and thus lowers the perceived body height.
The new M3 engine improved to 420bhp at 8300rpm (better than old engine by 6bhp) and a torque of 295lb at 3900rpm. The engine is the lightest V8 in the world, weighing less than the previous M3’s inline-six. The German company has worked so hard to improve the car performance. Now it can reach 100kph at 4.8sec which is almost similar to the Mercedes CLK and Audi S5. 250kph is the maximum speed of M3. The car will come with six-speed manual gearbox which seems to be slick. The manual is likely to be the only option at launch, ahead of the introduction of a new seven-speed double-clutch box.

Finally, the M3 receives MDrive (An option featured in M5). MDrive allows driver to program their favorite chassis settings, store them and retrieve them; the settings appear on the iDrive monitor. At start-up, the M3 defaults to standard mode, but with a press of the MDrive button, you can sharpen the steering, stiffen the damping and set the ESP to function at a higher threshold. This is not ideal for everyday driving, but it is needed if you get teased by other cars!

How could you not love the redesigned look of this fantastic machine? I loved the previous look, but this just looks so much sleeker!
