2009 Audi A8 preview

audi a8 2009 Audi A8 preview

The Audi A8 has long been hailed as one of the most powerful luxury cars on the market.  While the 2009 Audi A8 will see almost no changes, the 2010 model is set for big things.  However, the current model offers several options for those seeking both power and refined European luxury. The Audi line appeals to those with an eye for refined luxury and understated power and the A8 truly delivers on that desire.

The base model (the standard A8) is available with a 4.2L V8 engine, which produces 350 horsepower.  However, the A8 L is available with the V10 as well as the W12 engines.  These represent enormous power gains.  The W12 puts out 450 horsepower, while the V10 comes in slightly behind it.  Of course, all this power adds up to low fuel economy, but if you can afford the price tag for the A8 L ($120K), then filling up the tank is probably not an issue.

The A 8 (base model) also offers heated and electronically adjustable rear seats, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, 4-zone automatic heating and air conditioning and many other impressive upgrades. The A 8 L expands the A 8’s wheelbase, to an impressive 121 inches.  That gives the rear seats more than 42 inches of legroom, some of the most on the market in a luxury sedan. [Read more →]

Give it a Zoom! 2009 Mazda Mazda 3

mazda3 2009 Give it a Zoom! 2009 Mazda Mazda 3

Mazda has been ramping up their vehicles’ performance and style as of late. The new 2009 Mazda Mazda 3 offers a beefier, brawnier look and power to match. The new model carries over from the revamped style of 2008, with only small modifications, though the new aggressive stance of the car is a wonderful touch. The Mazda Mazda 3 shares the same platform as the Ford Focus, though it comes in slightly longer than that aging line.

The updated engine and transmission pairing gives the 3 a much needed power boost, while the additional refinements add to the handling and the overall style of the vehicle. The engine is a 2.3-liter 4-cylinder, producing 160 horsepower. The optional 2.5-liter engine provides a modest amount of additional power that some consumers will find appealing.

The largest difference for the 2009 Mazda Mazda 3 is the exterior appearance. As mentioned, the stance of the vehicle is more aggressive than in previous years. This may be more than enough to carry the line over into the next decade, though the 2010 model is rumored to be even more upgraded. The new model offers 17-inch alloy wheels for enhanced looks and handling, coupled with the addition of fog lights for the I Touring Value package. [Read more →]
