All fans of Range Rovers, and generally lovers of SUVs or Off-Road Utility Vehicles (or whatever you want to call them), will be looking forward to the launch of the new Range Rover Sport in the summer of 2012. Ranger Rover fans in the Gulf will be pleased to hear that the new release has been seen being test-driven in Dubai.

There has been a tendency lately for SUVs to lose touch with their sports or utility roots. Now, Range Rovers are an extremely versatile car, but for many of us they have become synonymous with their luxury models rather than their off road varieties. Most Range Rover owners are more likely to call the RAC or their preferred breakdown cover provider by the side of the road, rather than cracking out their own tools and repairing the motor in a dry wadi or up a mountain-side. What the future holds for electric cars is not uncertain considering the great strides the said cars have made so far. The only uncertainty may be in our expectations of how far they would have reached by then but not that they will almost be the only cars driven in as close as 10 years to come. And this is especially because the electric cars consume less fuel as compared to the current fuel guzzling vehicles.
