New 2009 Toyota Corolla
The Toyota Corolla has long been a staple of the American auto market. The Corolla (and Honda’s Civic) has become even more popular, due to today’s high gas prices. The all-new 2009 Toyota Corolla offers a different look than its previous incarnations, as well as other changes. What does the new model from Toyota bring to consumers? Let’s take a look.
The last changes to the Corolla came about 6 years ago; an eternity in the auto industry. In a world where most vehicles change looks and performance every 2 – 4 years, the Corolla’s staid stance is both a testament to the vehicle’s popularity and the automaker’s knowledge that they are one of the industry leaders. However, change comes to all things, even the Corolla.
The new 2009 Toyota Corolla offers a complete redesign of the body, as well as new engines for each trim level. While the body is not sporty at all, it does hold with the Corolla’s perceived place as the family eco-car. The somewhat staid design is similar to that of the new Civic, though the front end is markedly different and the car is not quite as wide.
The new Corolla offers several different engine options (with applicable trim levels) for consumers. For instance, the base model and the LE come with a 1.8-liter engine and a four-speed automatic transmission, while the XLE and S model offer a 1.8-liter with a five-speed stick shift. The 2.4-liter engine is only available with the XRS model (the most expensive) and comes with a five-speed automatic transmission.
The base model and lower-end models are very basic, with manual windows, a relatively low trim level and standard options, while the XRS model offers leather trimmed interior, sports seating and a few other nods toward sporty refinement, such as the 17-inch wheels, custom tail pipe and rocker panels.
If you are looking for quick 0 – 60 times, you’ll need to look elsewhere. The new Corolla stays solidly with the non-SI line of new Civics, as well as the new Lancer, all of which are somewhat heavy and underpowered. However, if you are looking for a great family car with unbeatable reliability, there is no better choice than the 2009 Toyota Corolla. Combining Toyota’s legendary reliability with high fuel efficiency, there may be more reasons than ever to look at this Japanese brand for your next family car.

It is a smart weblog. I mean it. You may have so much understanding about this problem, and a lot passion. You also know how you can make people rally behind it, obviously from the responses. Youve obtained a style here thats not as well flashy, but makes a statement as major as what youre saying. Fantastic job, indeed.
