2008 Hummer H3T, the hot new pickup!

Hummer has taken the wraps off its new H3T, a pick-up version of the H3, currently its smallest model. The H3T will come with four doors which is more practical than the 2004 two doors concept model. The H3T is based on a starched version of H3 chassis. It is likely this will also help keep the cost down, as the standard cabin of H3 can be carried over with minimal changes. The new model is concentrated more on power. The engine will be a 3.7litre V5 with 242bhp (The H3 has 220bhp with 3.5litre) and another V8 engine which gives 300bhp.
The load bed measures 1.5, so a motorcycle or quad will sit comfortably in the back. This creates an overlap in the Hummer lineup as the H2 SUT also offers a pick up bed, albeit much smaller than that of the new H3T. Hummer says the H3T is the brand’s first real pick-up and will appeal to folks who want a bigger bed than the H2 SUT in more useable sized vehicle. The H3T is highly practical. A bedrail system is to be standard and there are four storage compartments included in the bed itself. A full lineup of around 125 tailored accessories will be available for the roof and load-bed alone. The new H3T price expected to be less than the H3 price. (About $40,000)
